Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Finsemble (the "Service"), operated by Calis Group ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Finsemble, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Finsemble is a financial data aggregation platform that connects to your bank accounts through Plaid and syncs your financial data into a structured Google Sheet stored in your Google Drive. The Service includes a web application at finsemble.app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Google account to use Finsemble. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and have the authority to connect the financial accounts you link through the Service.

3. Account and Access

To use Finsemble, you must authenticate with your Google account and authorize the Service to access your Google Sheets and Google Drive. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. You must not share your account access with unauthorized individuals.

4. Financial Data

Finsemble provides financial data aggregation and organization tools. We are not a financial advisor, tax advisor, or accounting service. The information displayed in your Finsemble sheet is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as financial advice.

5. Your Data Ownership

You own your financial data. The Google Sheet created by Finsemble is stored in your Google Drive and is fully under your control. You can edit, share, copy, or delete this file at any time. If you stop using Finsemble, your sheet remains in your Drive.

We strive to keep Finsemble available and functioning reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control, including bank API outages or Plaid service disruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finsemble and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from inaccurate financial data, missed payments due to delayed data, or financial decisions made based on information displayed in the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Finsemble and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

Finsemble integrates with third-party services including Plaid and Google. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

12. Intellectual Property

The Finsemble name, logo, brand identity, and application code are the intellectual property of Calis Group. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without written permission. The Google Sheet templates and formulas created by Finsemble are provided as part of the Service and may be freely used and modified by you.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature or by contacting us. Upon termination, your Firestore data and Plaid tokens will be deleted, but your Google Sheet will remain in your Google Drive.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
