Finsemble is a financial dashboard built on your own Google Sheet, not an accounting system. This page explains exactly what Finsemble can access, what it stores, and what it does not.

Finsemble connects to your bank and payment accounts through Plaid. This access is read-only. Finsemble cannot move money, initiate a payment, or make any change to your accounts. It can only read transaction and balance data.
During a sync, your bank data passes through the Finsemble backend and is written directly to your Google Sheet. Once the sync is complete, your transaction history lives in your Google Sheet, in your own Google Drive, not on Finsemble's servers.
Finsemble does store some information about your account and your sync setup, separate from your transaction data. In Firestore, Google's database, Finsemble stores:
Your Plaid access tokens are stored as-is in Firestore, which is encrypted at rest by Google. Finsemble does not add its own encryption on top of the token value.
Finsemble connects to your Google account through Google OAuth and requests the drive.file scope, not full Drive access. This scope limits Finsemble to only the specific Google Sheet it creates for you. Finsemble cannot see, list, or access the rest of your Google Drive.
You can disconnect any connected bank at any time from within Finsemble. To fully revoke Finsemble's access to your Google account, remove it from your Google Account settings.
